Some people let their German shepherd dog keep safe their children. They let their child alone with the dog. How can this happen? Do they know the nature of these dogs? Herding instinct is one of German shepherd natural problem behaviors. In my opinion, the dog should not be left alone with your kids.

Protecting their family and hunting are their natural instinct. Surely you do not want your children to be their target. The purpose of German shepherd training is not only to simply obey the owner command, but most important matter is to avoid them to having problem behaviors that can put our family in danger.

It is very dangerous to let unsupervised children alone with German shepherd. Trouble may come when their herding instinct arise. No matter how much you believe your dog is well behaved, as a responsible owner, you should not ever leave them alone. Nevertheless, problem behaviors of this breed can be avoid a lot if they treated like one of your family. They love being treated that way, and surely will give us a lot of advantages. When the dog feels they belong to your family, he will treat them like one.

It is easier to train this breed if you adopt it since he was a puppy. This dog has a good memory and intelligence. So, it will not be difficult to train this dog when we know the basic information about German shepherd.

It is very dangerous if you have a bad attitude German shepherd that having problem behavior inside your family. The dog will have this kind of problem if they feel being neglected. Lack of food and water, hygiene, and no time to play can increase their distress. German shepherd dog need lot of love, caring, and attention. This breed is an active dog, strong and having good agility. Give him lot of task and activities; otherwise he will get bored easily.

If you want to have a well behave dog, you should make him feel that he belong to with your family and comfortable to get along. Off course, never forget, it is not human, and has natural instinct. Proper German shepherd training needs to be done for these dogs. Better than most humans, great personality is one of this breed advantages. We have to make them get use to other animals and people because they have natural instinct to protect their family by herding and hunting. Always keep your German shepherd involved in family things and activity to avoid problem behaviors in the future. A lot of attention is needed for this dog.

Examples of their behaviors cause by a bored German shepherd that will turn into bad things are chasing people, cars, and other animals. But do not worry; we can eliminate these behaviors by giving him lot of attention. One other thing that needs attention is their natural behavior as working dog. We need to assigning task for him, to avoid him getting nasty because of feeling bored. Be sure to keep your dog busy because if they are not and left to its own devices, they will back to herding activities and become more aggressive behavior. Being given important work to do even it is only just being the family dog will make them feel important, and always needed.
