Greyhound, Manchester terrier, Rottweiler, and other breeds are used to developed Doberman pinscher breed. Louis Dobermann (a German dogcatcher) developed this breed in 19^th century. Very versatile working dogs are Doberman. Many watch dogs, police dogs, and guard dogs are Doberman. Also scent detection, therapy, ring sport, obedience, agility, and more using this breed. But they are also many of them as great as family dogs. As bodyguards and watchdogs in Germany are originally bred them long ago.

Just like when you purchase any dog, before you purchase this breed you have to collect many information and be prepare.

Male Dobermans are larger than females. They approximately 75 to 90 pounds weights and stands 26 to 28 inches at the withers while the females’ weights around 55 to 70 pounds and 24 to 26 inches standing. Due to their short hair, very little grooming is required for this breed. Red and Rust, Blue and Rust, Fawn and Rust, Rust, and Black and Rust are recognized as their color. Dark in color and almond shapes are their eyes.

Cropped ears and docked tails are the traditional look of the Doberman. Actually, thin and long is the Doberman’s tail. But, when it is broken the tail is very difficult to heal. To avoid tail grabbing docking is done for this reason. For cleanliness, looks, and health, the ears cropped originally. Believing it to cruel, docked tails and cropped ears considered illegal in some countries nowadays. It has been banned in the UK. It looks like a hound if tail and ears left natural.

Dog Doberman rarely attacks people although many people think they are vicious dogs. They will become a nice family pet with good temperament if they socialized, rose with our children and, trained properly. On the verge of being vicious and very sharp temperament are their behavior in the early years, but it has mellowed over the years. This breed used by German police and military because they are capable of do many tasks and devoted to its family and owner, and fearless. Training is necessary for them because dominant is their natural instinct. Remember not to leave them alone because a lot of mischief can be done by their intelligence. Since they will always stand near the ones they love, Velcro dogs are what people used to call them.

Ten to twelve years are the lifespan of this breed. Health problems come to this breed also like other dogs. Wobblers’, bloat, cancer, heart disease, Von Willebrands disease, and dysplasia are common disease for these dogs.

If you live in an apartment, this breed is not the best choice for you. He needs big space to do exercises with daily walk to keep him in a good shape. For first time dog owner it would be not easy. Although they are devoted family dogs and very trainable, but they has dominant behavior. Showing him who’s in charge and make him understand is very important. Adopting a puppy Doberman is highly recommended.

Natural born killer they may look like, but actually they are nice and friendly pet. Good as a guard dog but also nice family member this breed. The choice is yours. If this breed fit with your dreams pet, it may be one of the best you ever had in your life.

Havanese dogs has devotion and companionship traits that you can expect as the most prevalent and positive traits. In a small apartment, they can stay with ease. They do not require lots of exercise requirement and big space to play around. In many cases, these breed are very easy to take care.

Many common diseases and health ailments are prone in various dog breeds. In Havanese dog, relatively few genetic diseases occur in this breed, and that is a great thing. So, for anybody interested in own Havanese dog, this can be consider as welcome note.

Cataracts, progressive retina atrophy, and autoimmune skin conditions are these dogs’ genetic problems. So, quality preventive care through heart worm pills, flea and tick medications, and vaccinations are important to maintain. Around 16 to 18 years is the typical life span of Havanese dogs. This is also one of the advantages for dog owner.

Third, curl up on the couch with you is something they love best. But, never forget; put walking as their exercise plan because they also need to take a walk. Sometimes when they play with you, they love to be carried during the walk. It will not be a problem because they are so small and adorable. But, exercise is important to them. If you carry them, they will feel irritable, restless, and only spoil them. Behavioral problems will arise if they feel irritated, restless, and bored.

Their mental health also will maintained beside fit physically if you give them exercise and play. A good belly rub, games, and walks will keep your dog healthy and happy.

The last, as a family dogs they are wonderful. If you socialize and train them properly, they will good for your children.   Watch over their family is their innate need. As a watch dogs, barking is the only thing we can depend from them as attacking intruder is not their ability.

English Spaniel Springer is a breed of gun dog that has traditionally been used for both flushing and retrieving most type of air fowl, but is also capable of retrieving water fowl as well. So, obviously the dog is a hunting dog. However this dog has become a very common house pet in more recent days. This easy going dog can live between 10 and 15 years with proper nutrition, medical care and excellent living conditions. The approximate adult size (two years old or older) of the male dog is 19 to 21 inches to the withers (highest point of the shoulder) and 45 to 55 pounds. The female ranges from 18 to 20 inches to the withers and 40 to 50 pounds.

The English Spaniel Springer is an intelligent dog and eager to please people. Although this dog is a very attentive and alert hunting dog, they also make a gentle, easy and loving house pet for any family. As with many playful dogs or hunting dogs bred as retrievers, the dog will play with things as simple as empty plastic bottles, socks, or towels. This spaniel is good with children, but because of their high activity and energy level, they need to be carefully watched and be used to children. This breed is generally okay with other pets. However it is not a good idea for them to be in a household where there is a bird because of their inherent hunting instinct.

Although the English Spaniel Springer has many good points, there is some bad behaviors to watch out. The dog can be a barker in certain situations. The spaniel also may get muddy if you give a chance. Although each dog is a little bit different, generally this breed needs a lot of activity and exercise with plenty of running around room, mental stimulation and a lot of attention. The dog is a good choice for an apartment if you are willing to jog with her or exercise her several times a day. So, the dog needs a lot of human interaction.

As in many dog breeds there are health issues for English Spaniel Springer. Hip dysphasia and Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), are two such diseases for which veterinarians are working on genetic markers to determine carriers. This spaniel should visit the veterinarian several times in the first year for shots, boosters and check up. Then, as an adult, she should visit the veterinarian yearly for shots and check up. As she gets older, six years and on, she should visit the veterinarian twice a year for check ups and shots. Remember; avoid feeding your dog sweets.

The English Spaniel Springer has a moderately long coat which is composed of an inner and outer coat. She should be brushed regularly. Brushing will help her maintain a clean and healthy coat, avoid mats and help you keep a closer eye on her health and strengthen your emotional bond with her. Her ears should be checked once a week and be kept clean. Her teeth should be brushed at least twice a week with toothpaste and toothbrush designed for dogs. Brushing removes the accumulation of plaque and tartar which can cause cavities (rarely) and periodontal disease. Her toenails may need to be examined for growth and clipped regularly.

Training an English Spaniel Springer is simple and very effective. It should also be fun for you and your dog, it doesn’t have to be hours and hours each day, just may be 5 minutes or so. Whether you’re training for the obedience ring at show or just at home, the spaniel is a delightfully easy breed that responds quickly to praise and positive reinforcement. However, this loving breed is sometimes easily distracted, so you have to be ready for a bit of a challenge. Another important thing in training this dog is you must keep your training sessions short and light. The dog also loves praise, almost as much as they love their owners. So, train your English Spaniel Springer with praise, toy rewards and even food rewards. Keep the treats light though, as the Springer can sometimes be prone to weight gain.
